Supplemental Course Allocation provides school districts and other public schools an MFP allocation related to the cost of high school credit courses. It is individualized to the needs of secondary students and is provided outside the traditional secondary school. Course Choice funded through the Supplemental Course Allocation (SCA) provides courses not currently available to their students, including:

• Career and technical preparation, supporting the Jump Start program
• Academic work required to achieve TOPS
• Advanced coursework not available at the school due to limited resources
• Dual Enrollment
• Intensive remediation for students struggling to stay on pace for graduation

All registration for coursework in 2025-2026 will go through the school. If a parent or student seeks to enroll in a course, please contact your school directly to speak with the person handling Course Choice Registration.

K-12 Course Provider Registration - Registration for coursework will take place at the school level and is only open to school representatives. A representative from the school should follow the directions to register with various course providers. School representatives will be asked to input student information in the Course Choice Reporting portal by a TBD deadline. The deadline will be published in the News section and the LDOE newsletter.

Public Higher Education Registration - Students seeking coursework for Public Higher Education credit should register directly with the Louisiana post-secondary institution as they have in the past. Then school representatives will input student information in the Course Choice Reporting portal by a TBD deadline. The deadline will be published in the News section and the LDOE Newsletter.
